Jane Begum
Jane Begum
Forgotten Era Collection
A chandelier earring for a woman who never picked a side.
Jane, from the West. Begum, from the East. This piece doesn't try to resolve them — it just lets both stand, side by side, the way history occasionally allowed.
A rose-cut stone sits inside a hand-fabricated jaali arch, oxidised sterling silver holding the whole structure together like it's been there since the 1800s and just waiting for someone to notice. Three pearls drop below, because restraint is overrated on a wedding-season earring.
Hand-fabricated by our karigars in Kolkata. No two pieces are ever quite identical — small irregularities are proof of hand, not error.
Details:
925 sterling silver, oxidised finish
Rose-cut stone (centre)
Freshwater pearls (3 drops)
